on the street, Harajuku
Now it's time to go back Tokyo, my love city.
He's boss of CA4LA,
my favorite dandy!!
I happened to see him
when his new shop is opened in Harajuku.
いつもより人気(ひとけ)のない街、
いつもより元気のないムード。
正直に言うと
撮影はここ何日も滞ったまま。
This scarf is Paul Stuart,
tie and pocket square is Ermenegildo Zegna.
’It's so cool colors, isn't it?' he told with smile.

I've Joined the Fake Tan Bandwagon!
As a naturally NC30-NC35 person and after having lived in the tropics most of my life I never even thought about fake tan. After moving to England, I can say I feel differently. A few weeks ago I realised for the first time how pale my arms and legs had gotten over time and decided to jump on the bandwagon that is the fake tan wagon.
I bought the Solait tanning mitt for £3 at Superdrug, and got the St. Moriz mousse off a blogsale. To be honest I was expecting a complete disaster cuz I can be quite durrrrr, but I was amazed at how smoothly everything went! (Aside from my initial shock that the foam was grey-ish..)
The tanning mitt made everything so easy, I don't have any streaks and it's easy to blend out edges even a few moments after you've applied it. Also, the reality is that in a natural tan, nothing is ever very precise so there's no actual need to be precise like around the hands and feet.
Also, I found it didn't transfer onto my clothes so I could sleep in it and wash it off in the morning. That being said the smell did bother me a bit. It's not a bad smell, just.. strange.
After two layers of this stuff my skin is back to the normal colour that it was before I moved here, and I love it. My boyfriend was quite worried that I would turn orange and become one of those scary orange people walking around town but to both our surprise it's literally my natural skin colour.
I would've liked to say that I left the hand untanned on purpose to show you guys, but the reality is that I'm an airhead and forgot to tan the hand :P Atleast you can see the effect and how natural the tan looks? Lol..
I applied one layer of my fake tan on Friday, and it hadn't worn out before I wanted to add another layer to bring it to the colour above. Taking the advice of many bloggers, I exfoliated and moisturized before I applied the tan and I'm sure that helped the staying power too!
Anyway, I can safely say that these two goodies will always be in my beauty collection as it's a great pick-me-up. I feel more confident already now that I feel like I'm my usual skin colour! Definitely worth the hype, and would encourage people who have always toyed with the idea to go for it - it's dead easy! :)

I recently seems to avoid it for some reason,

suspection of leaking of radioactivity, and so on.)
But now ,I feel it is beautiful, I feel like trying it again.

Spot Cleaning with MAC Brush Cleaner!
When I first got the MAC brush cleaner, I was a little bit confused - how do I use this? In the end, I gathered some tips from YouTube, and found a way to use it that works great for me so I thought I'd share it with you guys :)
I know a lot of people are going to be like, why would you spend so much on a bottle of MAC's brush cleaner if you can use a baby shampoo? Well, I do use baby shampoo! But I don't have the money or the need to buy more than 1 of each brush, nor do I have the time to deep clean my brushes every night. I also started wondering if all this deep cleaning was even that great for my brushes! And for those of you who still don't think I can justify the £8.50 - honestly, I want the best for my brushes considering the amount I've spent on them, and don't want to risk it with a brush cleaner that might be cheaper but more damaging to the bristles.
Anyway, on to the 'tutorial'/review! Basically what I do, is fill a spray bottle with 50% MAC brush cleaner and 50% water - you can see the difference in colour here:
And then spray it on the bristles (not the ferrule!) against a dirty towel who has kindly dedicated his life and soul to assisting me in brush cleaning.. I wouldn't suggesting spraying the towel, because it would absorb most of the product and not transfer to the brush. This is my Sigma E35.
And then swirl it gently on the towel until bristles are clean! Remember to always go with the grain, and spray and reswirl (?) as necessary.

So there you have it!
This dries in like a minute, and I can safely say it's been a very good addition to my vanity! I would rate this product 8/10, mainly because it's kind of hard to use, a bit impractical for foundation brushes, and also because it's not amazing in the sense that my white bristles still stain over time.
But with this method, because you dilute it with water, and you get 235mL in the first place, you get a LOT of use out of it for £8.50. Would recommend! :) Nothing but the best for those pricey brushes <3

An American Girl Birthday Party at Home
Arielle started planning her 8th Birthday Party about three days after she turned seven. She's my planner. Inspired by our trip to The American Girl Place in Chicago this summer, she finally settled into the idea of creating an American Girl Tea Party - at home!
We started out with photos of the guests (and dolls) on the red carpet.
Fringed doll napkins made a simple and fun craft for the girls while we waited for everyone to arrive. To make these, simply cut 6" x 6" squares of gingham and stitch 1/4" from the edge all the way around. The girls just "pull the strings" until they get to the stitching line. Now the dolls have a cloth napkin for the tea!
Decorating the party table was lots of fun. We took inspiration from the pink and black banquet room at The American Girl Place in Chicago. Putting my Shaker sensibility aside, we went bright and bold with lots of layers. The table was topped with a white table cloth and bright pink sheer sparkly fabric. On top of that was layered black place mats and black and white paper plates. Tea sets, like the ones at The American Girl Store, are available for purchase and a set went home with each of the girls.
Black and pink polka dotted napkins alternated with black gingham napkins and each was secured with a silk gerbera daisy. Place cards were printed on the computer and accented with black patterned scrapbook paper.
Each chair was tied with pink and black tulle -
and the gift table was covered with coordinating fabric.
We found conversation starters at the American Girl store.
The girls had a great time answering the questions.
We kept the food simple. Fruit Kabobs, Cheetos and Bagel Bites worked because of their kid-friendly deliciousness and their appropriate miniature scale. Girls and dolls enjoyed mini muffins and cherry 7-up made for a fun pink, sparkly drink!
Here's a great trick that my mom used to use at my birthday parties........
... Pre-scoop the ice cream into cupcake liners!
The presentation is festive, and it's one less thing to do when it's cake time!
I found these cute scalloped flower liners at JoAnn's Fabric and Crafts!
Happy Birthday, Arielle!
