November Favourites!

I cannot believe November is over - that was SO fast! It's surprising how 2011 has gone by in a blink of an eye though, and I almost feel like monthly favourites are to blame cuz I look forward to the end of the month so much :P NAUGHTY!

Anyway, have put together a video of my favourites as usual ;) Hope you guys like it!

I know November JUST ended, but I've been internally celebrating since the 5th of November fireworks finished.. Evidence:

Gingerbread Man Christmas Ornament from Harrod's - £4.95
Biscuiteers Reindeer Biscuit - was a gift ;)
Christmas Pudding Mug from Sainsbury's - £3.95-ish

Honestly though, I really enjoyed November. I saw my friends from high school, my boyfriend's parents' and sister came to visit us, we went to see his aunt in Kent, I met up with Emma and Anna, I went to several events, I met some academically significant people that I wont name because I'll just look ridiculously lame and nerdy, I rode on the London Ghost Bus Tour (?!) anddddd I got to experience an internship interview!

 How was your November?
Any beauty faves? :)

See you in December!

October Favourites! (or whatever it is..)

In regards to the titles - I'm not quite sure what favourites are anymore! :P Are they products you consistently loved throughout the month, or products you've been using a lot that month, or products you've loved at some point in the month?! I decided to go for the latter choice this time :)

Keep your eyes open for a blooper at the end ;)

As for my favourite bloggers/Youtubers this month? I've had a few!

My newbie favourite can be none other than Nic704, who has just started a blog a couple of weeks ago - she's such a sweet girl! Her taste in make-up though - AMAZING, I want everything!

Charlotte's Obsessions is definitely at the top of my list for YouTuber faves - another girl whose collection will never stop enabling me, and comes across so lovely and funny in her recent collection/mini-review videos.

Speaking of which, Lauren at Rose Espirit also has make-up collection (specifically bronzer collection) I will envy for the rest of my life.. jealous doesn't actually cover it.

Ok, not exactly Halloween, but they're orange and black and ADORABLE?! Taken at a cake store in Oxford :)

So yes - hope you had a great October, and happy halloween! :D
Don't forget to link me to your favourites :)

P.S. Has anyone seen this girl? Absolute legend :P

September Favourites :)

Did I say I'd get back to posting regularly? What a load of bollocks that was - sorry! :P

September was madness in calendar form. I went to Kyoto with my mom, I had university bureaucracy to deal with, I came back to the UK and am still in the process of adapting to city life (did anyone try to get on the Jubilee line today?! My goodness, I felt like I was back in rush hour Tokyo!), and I'm starting uni in 2 days! Madness in calendar form.

So I'm back now but not going to make any promises of consistent posting as I have no idea how long this madness intends to continue for! But October promises to be a great month with meet-ups and reunifications with some favourite bloggers - and the TOWIB event of course! :) Excitingggg tiiiimesss!

Anyway, enough babbling :)

My favourite blog/YouTube by far in September had to be Sandra's YouTube. She has such an open mind about products and doesn't just stick to cult products, so she brings in loads of products in her videos that I've never heard of before. She also has really good taste, and has massively enabled me in many of her videos! :) Sandra's also incredibly honest about products no matter how big the hype, and I feel like she's one of those people who doesn't just hoard and never use products, but actually has a reason for a lot of the products she buys which adds to her personality, and also kind of gives a hint as to why and in what situation I would want something :) She also has a lovely voice to listen to! :P

And here are my favourite beauty products of September :)

Were any of these in your favourites too?
What were your favourites? :)

August Favourites :)

I can't believe I have less than a month left to be in Japan! :( I was going to whinge about how it's kind of difficult to live with parents for so long when you've had all the independence, but I'm currently so bored without my mom as she's gone to a middle school reunion, and my dad's been away for work in Papua New Guinea..  total FAIL on my behalf! I've still enjoyed myself though, and have a month yet to appreciate my time here so all is well :)

Anyway, here is my monthly favourites video :)

Apologies again for the caffeine high (and the caffeine relief bit LOL! I couldn't edit it out I was lol-ing at myself) - it's probably why there's lots of editing in this one! :P Coffee really is my drug of choice :P

And some of my new found favourite blogs this month are..

I spent a few hours going over all her posts! Reminded me about how relaxed blogging should be and that it's not just about trying product after product, or about cult products or about high end products - it's about showing people what you love! :) Unfortunately this has added lots of new products onto my wishlist though and made me doubt my decision on some products I used to shrug off.. (Helloooo, Bella Bamba!).

I love this blog and have caught myself on it numerous occasions recently (as I don't do rounds of certain blogs, I just read what I think looks interesting on my Dashboard) which is always proof that I'm loving a blog! She talks about products that not a lot of people have heard about, and also has great reviews and not to mention photographs! I'm hoping to do a full round of her blog tonight, as I've been viciously reading through them day by day! :D

I'm usually not a fashion blog kind of girl, but I LOVE Carlinn's style as it's not too OTT or too complicated and she wears lots of solids which I love (as I struggle to find pattered tops I like.. the only one I have is what I'm wearing in the video! :P), all whilst still being extremely inspiring and stylish! For the first time I find myself wanting day-wear heels?! I also love her make-up tastes, and always love seeing bits and bobs of Malta - I absolutely adored it there! :)

And some snaps from this month.. :)

1. Books to planning my mom and my trip to Kyoto/Nara/Osaka in September :)
2. Visiting my baby second cousin Arata <3
3. Flowers for my grandpa's grave <3
4. Steamed bread :D (extent of my baking abilities..)
5. Reading for my next degree!

Hope you guys had a brilliant August :)

July Favourites :)

What a month it's been! I've spent so much on make up this month, that it's only expected that I have a favourites crammed with raving and freaking out to myself about the lovely products I've found this month - so very excited for you guys to see! :) It's a bit different from past months where I'm showing you guys products that I've had for a while and loved particularly that month - it's more like a ravefest of new goodies :) Enjoy!

And as for some blogs I've loved this month.. (and the first one I finally found the link to thanks to Charlotte - who's also listed below!) :)

Hope you all had a lovely July! Here are some snaps of the lovely Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds areas that I took while travelling :)

See you in August :)

June Favourites!

June was a weird month - the weather was weird, my schedule was weird, leaving uni has been weird - it's generally been weird.

My make-up habits has been unusual as well, as I started June with exams, went on holiday for a week, had breaks inbetween and am now off on a holiday in Malta (I should be on a plane atm, screaming obscenities at the turbulence.. as you do) - so lots of inconsistencies and not being in front of my vanity.

That being said, it's kinda shed light to what I have TRULY loved! This favourites is a bit unstructured for that reason, and is just a general bunch of products I've been really impressed by - not necessarily my favourite blush, my favourite eyeshadow, my favourite foundation etc., etc., :) Enjoy!

Here are some better pics of the individual products :)

MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque
UNE SkinGlow Pencil in G04
MAC Eyeshadow in Patina

Also, I've decided I'll start popping up some links to some blogs that I've discovered and/or loved that month, so here goes this month's selection :)

All these bloggers are lovely people who I've had a chance to get to know on Twitter - definitely go check them out! :)

What were your favourite products this month? :)

May Favourites 2011 & Some Blog Love :)

End of May, I have been looking forward to you so much - I have a week until I am free from my degree! Of course until I start another one in October.. but no need to think about that yet!

Hope everyone is having a great bank holiday! (I have no idea what it's for, what is it for?) I'm guessing most people aren't out considering the weather, so thought I'd pop this up in case you were wondering what I've been loving this month.. ;P

I know, that blush should be replaced by a microphone and I'm well on my way to becoming one of the Backstreet Boys.. (which I've been obsessing over this month after rediscovering my lus-.. love for them).

BLOG LOVE TIME! :D

This month I've had some major traffic from some bloggers who have so kindly mentioned me on their blogs, so I wanted to thank them and send some love back their way, by telling you a bit about each of them - I'd know, they're some of my favourite blogs, which made the mentions 100x more 'EEP! :)'-worthy! They are pretty blogs so you may already know them, but no harm ey? :)

H's blog has, hands down, the best pictures EVER and she also has an incredible range of products that never fails to make me want to buy some for myself. Her posts are very personalized in both content and the way she writes. My favourite posts from her are posts on what she's been loving, which includes monthly favourites, but also things like colour themes and products that go with that theme. She also happens to be a hoot to talk to on Twitter!

I've been reading Corrie's blog since I started my blog - she has THE nicest hair (Cheryl Cole agrees with me), and the cutest sense of fashion that is actually practical that you can take something away from! She brings out the best of drugstore make up, and she has an IMMENSE Models Own and Barry M nail collection which I am always nagging her to do a post on.. Join me and nag her :P

I found Tiffany's blog very recently, but the posts that caught me eye were her top 5 favourites posts of each category, like blush, bronzer, etc., which helped in discovering new products. Her posts are a good blend of individual product reviews, blogger interviews and collective reviews of products with a certain theme - if you can't tell, posts w/ more than one product are my faves for some odd reason (it gives scope to compare, and let me decide which product I'll probs like best!) and Tiffany does loads of them for different 'themes'!

Vivianna's blog is another one that I've been reading since Day 1 - she is by far, my biggest enabler (and she's admitted that she loves it! Evil!) She is one of the most honest bloggers out there, and I love how personalized her blog is. It's always about how the products relate to her - i.e. things she's loved, what she uses them for, when she uses them etc., which is what I look for in a blog - anyone can do objective straight-forward reviews right? Viv is another blogger that is great fun to talk to!

So yes. Please go check them out, as I never miss a post from any of these ladies! If you want to see some of my other favourites, pop on over to the 'Blog Love' tab at the top of my page :)

Until June, I will leave you with the image that's been taking the misery out of my revision and cold/flu:

February 2011 Favourites :)

So February wasn't as long as January, but boy was it busy for me! However, amongst all this I still managed to keep track of what I've been loving, so here are my February Favourites..

Products Mentioned:
- Ralph Lauren Romance
- Sigma F80
- Burt's Bees Lipbalm
- OPI Teenage Dream
- MAC Vintage Selection Paint Pot
- MAC Viva Glam Cyndi Lipglass
- NYX Paris Lipstick
- Bourjois Lipstick in Fashion Rouge 23

Please let me know if you prefer me to do pics/text or if just the video is fine :) Or if you want little blurbs on the Products Mentioned list.. just lemme know what you thought lol!

A quick update on my Project Pan, this month I bought 3 make-up items! I used to have specifications of under what condition I can get my P15P exceptions, but I've just kinda made it now to 3 items per month. I'm quite proud of how well I'm doing! Since 2011, I've only bought 4 make-up items :) If you want to see what I've finished, there is a list on the left-hand side :)

What were your Feb favourites?
Hope you had a great February, and see you in March! :)

January 2011 Favourites :)

Seriously, was it just me that felt like January was REALLY long? Or maybe it has to do with the fact that I've only bought 1 make-up item this month.. Ah!

Cosmetics..
* ELF Studio Blush in Tickled Pink - Never used to like this! But I'm a bit paler than when I bought it and it gives me a nice, natural, everyday flush :) Lovely! Makes me want to venture more into the world of pink blushes <3 Any suggestions ladies?

* MAC Patina Eyeshadow - You know I love this shadow. Amazing for all of the lid, a nice twist to a typical matte beige everyday look :) Has been a go-to for days where I have no idea what to wear. (See swatches here and FOTD here).

* MAC Creme Cup Lipstick - A month ago I was iffy about this, now I love it. My go-to lipstick this month for a natural pink lip, goes with absolutely anything! I've gone a shade darker than a month ago and it looks lush now :) (See swatches here).

Beauty..
* Charles Worthington Moisture-Seal Shampoo/Conditioner - I did not realise how much Herbal Essence Beautiful Ends was weighing my hair down until I tried this. My hair is so much lighter, softer, bouncier and moist-er (?) than it used to be. Only issue = you use a LOT of this product, and the full size isn't the cheapest of hair products! Eek.

* Aussie Dual Personality Volume & Gloss Hairspray - Such a good everyday lift to your hair, the right amount of oomph! Love that it doesn't get crackly or sticky. It has made me venture into Aussie this month with other products!

* St. Ives Naturally Clear Blemish and Blackheads Control Apricot Scrub - No more scratching off skin, more like polishing skin! I feel like I have brand new skin everytime I use this, and it's gentle enough to use every other day. Don't feel the blackheads going, but still an amazing exfoliator :)

I know it's short and sweet, but we all get bombarded with favourites this time of the month so I thought that might be better! Hope you guys enjoyed, and lemme know if you want more in-depth review on anything :)

Have any of you tried any of these products? And what has been your monthly favourite? :)

Snow! & November Favourites :)

Hi everyone - hope all your Black Friday shopping has been brilliant (who else ordered from Sigma? :)) and that if you are from the States, that you had an amazing Thanksgiving!

Anyway, I woke up this morning to a surprise! Pretty!

But on to this morning's post.. :) (because I have a sneaky feeling I'll make another one today.. lol)

It's the end of the month and Idk about blog-side, but on YouTube, it's when my subscriptions get flooded with monthly favourites. So naturally, I made a video which will be attached at the end of the post. Here is the general overview:
My November Favourites were..
- Nails Inc., in Jermyn Street - beautiful dirty plum, great for winter, dries fast which is always a plus!
- Bourjois Effet 3D Cosmic Lipgloss in No. 29 - makes your lips look a bit lighter due to infinite small sparkles - yum :)
- BodyShop Love Gloss in No. 17 - passion fruit smell, yellow cancels out some redness in your lips, making them a bit lighter and a bit pinker but natural :)
- Lipgloss by H&M in Coco Kiss in Aruba - nice candy smell, pink brown sparkles that has a similar effect to the Bourjois lipgloss, except with a pinky/browny tone. Gorge.
- Barry M Dazzle Dust in Tan No. 39  - a pinky, browny, tanny, sparkly (lol) all over lid colour - gooorgeous.
- Sleek Storm Palette, top left colour - beige-y gold - great all over lid colour :)
- ELF Elements Palette - handy for storing MAC e/s for cheaper & great for travel, especially when mixed in with MAC e/s and ELF elements for eyes, face, lips, etc., Massive mirror and a slot for your applicators! (and an easy way to drool over pretty colours all in one place)
- Sleek Blush in Flushed No. 935 - WHA-BAM red. But when applied lightly, very natural blush for me :) LOVE!

As I say in the video, monthly favourites have been difficult for me because my new storage allows me to see everything I have and therefore I've been using lots and lots - there isn't a few products that I've used ALL the time. So.. needless to say, they're not the typical 'favourites' that you see out there, in terms of why they are chosen, but they are still re-discovered or lovely products :)

So, what are some of your November favourites? :)
