FOTD: Everyday.

Everyone has an everyday go-to look right? :) Recently, I've been opting for the fresh-faced look to counter-act the grogginess that is English weather:

The main "ingredients" for this look would be the cheek and base. My base of choice is Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra foundation in 03 - this gives medium coverage that lets your skin show through, but with a powdered semi-matte finish, both of which is perfect for a everyday polished look. On the outer parts of my cheeks I'm wearing Benefit's Bella Bamba blush, along with Dior's Shimmer Powder in Amber Diamond layered on the topside and inner parts of my cheeks. I've also popped Amber Diamond on the bridge and tip of my nose, as well as on my chin.

I think you could do without eyeshadow in this look, but a polished option would be Urban Decay's Naked Palette colours in Sin all over the lid, and Naked in the socket. To define the eyes, I did a basic flicked eyeliner with my Clinique Gel Liner in 02 True Black, with lashings of Rimmel Day2Night Mascara in Black on my lashes curled with the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers.

I'd also recommend keeping the lip simple :) I don't have a natural nude at the moment, so I opted for a light wash of my nude nude lipstick - Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight 700.

What's your key to a fresh face? :)

FOTD: EYELINER! :)

A week or so ago, I posted about my excitement on getting back in touch with the gel eyeliner. Sadly, my hand had forgotten how to use eyeliner, but I THINK I've finally got it down.. you tell me!

- Bobbi Brown Correcter in Peach
- MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
- Bourjois Compact Powder in Miel Dore 83
- Benefit Bella Bamba

Eyes:
- Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in Deep Brown 03
- MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
- Clinique Gel Liner in True Black 02
- Rimmel Day2Night Mascara in Black

Lips:
- Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight 700

Some of you may have noticed the newbies in my collection, and yes I've been very guilty of shopping recently! A lot of it has to do with the weather changing, but also a busier lifestyle calls for more flexible/on-the-go/easy looks and products. You will undoubtedly be hearing more about the lovely things I've picked up and have been loving - but at the moment, eyeliner and eyeshadows have been my favourite things to apply! :)

What's been the focus of your looks recently? :)

FOTD: MAC Studio Moisture Tint & Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara

I've recently been going for a dewy, sheer, no-foundation look (you'll see why at the end :P) so have enjoyed using my MAC Studio Moisture Tint, and wanted to show you guys what it's like because I feel like it doesn't get much attention in the beauty blogging world - and I really like it! :) It smoothes out the texture slightly, roughly evens out any light discolourations, and generally lets my skin show through really nicely. I just pop some concealer on to cover up the blemishes to give a fresh and healthy look :)

I also thought I'd show you guys the Maybelline HyperCurl Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara (mouthful!) in action that I raved about in my other post :) The longer, thicker, curlier lashes just makes it so easy to feel girly! Click the image to see them up close :)

Here's what I'm wearing..

FACE:
MAC Studio Moisture Tint in Medium Dark
Bobbi Brown Correcter in Peach
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
Bourjois Compact Powder in 73 Miel Dore

MAC Blush in Melba
CANMAKE Shading Powder in 02
Dior Amber Diamond

EYES:
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
MAC Eyeshadow in Honesty
MAC Eyeshadow in Woodwinked

K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner
Maybelline HyperCurl Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara
Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in Deep Brown 03

LIPS:
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight 700

What do you use for a no make-up looking base? :)

***

Been inspired by LookBook these days.. sadly the inspiration doesn't transfer much into practice..

LOL. Lollipop26 I am not.
Anyway, I was on my way to 3hrs of this..

I know. SUCH FUN!
(who doesn't love Penny? :P)

FOTD: Back With MAC Eyeshadows :)

I really have missed wearing eyeshadow (as I haven't shut up about since my previous post) so I decided to pop a FOTD with a combination I wore today :) I've also missed doing FOTDs - it's just so difficult as a lot of days I don't wear make-up, or because I have limited products with me I haven't been very adventurous!  Ironically, I've dropped my MAC 15 eyeshadow palette twice today - ever so graceful. Anyway, enough rambling now, on to the FOTD! :P

What I'm Wearing..

Face:
- MAC Studio Moisture Tint in Medium Dark
- Bobbi Brown Correcter in Peach
- MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
- Bourjois Compact Powder in 73 Miel Dore
- Rimmel Sunshimmer Bronzer in Medium Matte
- Dior Shimmer Powder in 02 Amber Diamond

Eyes:
- MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
- MAC Naked Lunch Eyeshadow (all over the lid)
- MAC Tempting Eyeshadow (in outercorner and socket)
- MAC Brule Eyeshadow (brow highlight)
- K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner 24hrs
- MAC Plushlash Mascara in Plushblack
- Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in Deep Brown 03

Lips:
- Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 700 Nude Delight
- Dior Addict Lipstick in 343 Miss Dior

I think my favourite parts of this look is first the polished-looking eye - it makes SUCH a big difference to have a really good brow highlight in my opinion, and both Naked Lunch and Tempting are gorgeous colours! I've also gone back to using eyeliner - although I still haven't winged it out as I used to always do :) The second is using Dior Amber Diamond as a blusher - it's very subtle but gives a lovely glow that really tones down your look.

My least favourite is the lippy - I usually wear my Dior Addict on top of a light layer of concealer or foundation, which brings out the peach more. I thought I'd experiment because I'm not particularly a fan of putting face products on my lips, but I think I'll be going back to that from now on!

Thanks for reading guys, hope you liked it :)

FOTD: What Do I Do With You Amber Diamond?!

A few days ago I posted about my Dior haul, and picked up what is probably the most raved-about highlighter in the blogging community - Dior Shimmer Powder in Amber Diamond 02.

Now I was going to get this baby no matter what unless it was absolute crap because I only have 1 other (not amazing) powder highlighter in my collection so it wasn't like I was using my dosh on something I already had - so I walked out of the store liking it, but not completely sure as to how I was going to use this product in the way I loved it most..

The sad thing is, I'm still not 100% sure! :(

So far, I've used it in 3 ways on my face, all with the MAC 109. I've used the lightest two shades on the left which gives a really sharp highlight that I will adore for the evening, and I've used all the colours together or the two colours on the right, both of which look invisible on my skin until light hits in, at which point it gives me a sheeny glow.. like this:

Face:
- MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC25 mixed with Bourjois Healthymix in 56
- Bourjois Compact Powder in 73 Miel Dore
- MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
- Bobbi Brown Correcter in Peach
- MAC Blush in Melba
- Rimmel Sunshimmer Bronzer in Medium Matte
- Dior Amber Diamond

Eyes:
- Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in Deep Dark 03
- Dior Amber Diamond
- MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black

Lips:
- MAC Lipstick in Vegas Volt

As you can see when it hits the light (second picture), it definitely gives me cheekbones, browbones the whole shabam - but otherwise (first picture) it really doesn't show.

And as much as I could make use of the 2 ways I've found to use Amber Diamond, I feel like I want an inbetween - some cheekbone enhancing way that actually shows subtly on my skin without having to constantly stand underneath direct light because I was looking forward to using this in the winter, when I've got matte foundation/blushers and want some dimension!

Or do I have a totally weird sense of what a highlighter is?! :P

I must say, I quite like it as an eyeshadow though, and the consistency is to die for!

So anyway, I wanted to ask all the Dior Amber Diamond ravers out there - how do you use yours day-to-day? What brushes do you use, which colours and how much do you use?

Hopefully I will have a better grasp of why other people rave about Amber Diamond after this post :) Thanks in advance :)

FOTD: Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation

As I haven't used my recently purchased Illamasqua Rich Liquid enough to write a full review, I thought why not do a FOTD to just show you guys what it looks like? :)

(I'm not naked.. just wearing a tube top :P)

I know it looks like a really easy look, but in reality, this foundation is a bit time-consuming to apply! I mix it in with some Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer, and holding the end of my MAC 109, lightly brush it onto my face. That being said, it's worth it! It gives a really luminous matte finish, and stays on all day. Average oil control, and doesn't transfer if you blot! I have my doubts about its durability through rain, as one day when I was wearing this I ended up with spotty foundation on my chin and between my eyebrows - will be running some tests before a full review, but so far I am loving it except for how long it takes! :)

Anyway, I quite like this look - it doesn't have the same natural/care-free feel as a medium coverage natural finish foundation, but I quite like the more polished, "a little bit made up" base combined with the minimal effort everywhere else. I think it's quite classy! I've been loving filling in my eyebrows, and the pop of pink on my lips I think balances out the neutral-ness of everything else :)

Here's what I have on my face:

Face:
Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation in RF233
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
Bourjois Compact Powder in 73 Miel Dore
Rimmel Sunshimmer Bronzer in Medium Matte
NARS Blush in Luster

Eyes:
Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in 03 Deep Brown
MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara
UNE SkinGlow Pencil in G04

Lips:
MAC Lipstick in Please Me

I've been wanting some easy-to-apply matte foundations - some on the list are Chanel Mat Lumiere and MAC Studio Fix Fluid. Does anyone have any recommendations? :) For those with Mat Lumiere, is it quite similar to the finish of this Illamasqua one?

What base do you use for a polished look? :)

Graduation OOTD/FOTD (& Some Mulberry Lovin'..) :)

I must admit, this graduation was much less emotional than my high school graduation, but it was a day to share my university experience with my parents who was never able to visit me during my time there. I got to see my coursemates who I admittedly didn't spend too much time with bar 2 or 3, and I guess most relevant to my blog is that I got to dress up ;).

Lisa & I :)
Credit: Lisa's Dad :D

Yes, I realise my dress is 90% under the gown - but it's a beige dress from Debenham's, with a really cool collar that was completely lost in this ridiculous gown! The shoes were suede-ish red heels from Dorothy Perkins. I also got my hair done at a lovely hairdressers in Stratford-upon-Avon.

For my face, I went for a natural look, and here is what I wore:

Face:
Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation in RF233
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach
Bourjois Compact Powder in 73 Miel Dore
NARS Blush in Luster

Eyes:
Clinique Super Fine Liner for Brows in 03 Deep Brown
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
MAC Eyeshadow in Patina
MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara
UNE SkinGlow Pencil in G07

Lips:
17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Beehive

So all in all it was a lovely day - it wasn't sentimental or exciting as it was left way too long after exams! But I had a really enjoyable day, being nervous about tripping, taking photos, catching up with coursemates, and just with everyone there in one place :) My mom, dad and grandma, I assume, were happy to be there, and us four and Ben all went to dinner afterwards at a Chinese which was lovely!

Aaaaaaand, the gift I bought myself, as promised in the previous post.. :)

Mulberry Locked Cosmetic Purse in Oak

My first self-purchased designer brand item :) I've been carrying it around absolutely EVERYWHERE as both a pouch inside a bigger bag, and as a clutch. It fits everything - powder, lipbalm/lipsticks, blotting paper, painkillers, camera, phone - it's REALLY deceiving, and needless to say - PERFECT! :) I'm not sure I'll ever need another clutch/pouch/make-up bag!

I love the little embossed Mulberry logos, but the bird CRACKED me up! To be honest, the buying part was an experience - it was me, stood in the Knightsbridge shop with my boyfriend, uhm-ing and ah-ing. I decided to take the plunge when I realised that if I walked out of the shop without it, I wouldn't be pleased that I saved money - I'd be gutted that I didn't get what I've wanted for so long!

The woman who sold it to me wasn't amazing - she was sweet, but in the process of explaining aftercare, she decided to mention that it was made out of calf skin - who wants to hear that?! I felt like a murderer for about 5 minutes after that, even considering reversing the purchase despite not being an anti-leather person, vegetarian, or a vegan by any stretch of the imagination.

Anyway, after that, the attaching of the unnecessary bird commenced, which very much reminded me of the scene with Rowan Atkinson in Love Actually - I was twitching to not start laughing, as was Ben from what I could tell :P

Despite setting me back quite a bit, I haven't spent a second regretting it. It's perfect, my pride and joy, and something I intend on using and cherishing forever! :) Strangely this has made me want to save, not so much in the way of - crap, I've spent so much, but mostly in the sense that it feels REALLY good to spend money on something you absolutely adore, rather than buying cheap bits and bobs that you may or may not like. And thus commences my saving for my next Mulberry lust.. the Chocolate Bayswater.

Anyone felt like that before? :)

Anyway.. that was a long rambly post! Hope you guys enjoyed it anyway :)

FOTD: ArtDeco Palette #1

On my Berlin trip I made myself a palette from ArtDeco. One of the eyeshadow shades I got was an aqua colour and to be honest - it was kind of an impulse buy, that was triggered by the want to get non-neutral eyeshadows. Perplexed by how the heck I was going to pull it off, I attempted something :)

Face:
Dior Diorskin Forever Foundation in 030
Bourjois Compact Powder in 73 Miel Dore
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach
ArtDeco Blush in 19

Eyes:
ELF Studio Eye Primer and Line Sealer Stick
MAC Eyeshadow in Honesty
ArtDeco Eyeshadow in 391
MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara
K-Palette Real Lasting Finish 24hr Eyeliner
Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel

Lips:
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight 700

ArtDeco Blusher in 19; ArtDeco Eyeshadow in 391; MAC Eyeshadow in Honesty

I thought it was a good twist to the typical neutral eyeshadow on top, and blue liner on the bottom look!

It actually turned out pretty wearable, and because of the way my eyes fold, when I open my eyes the blue really stands out the most! This colour, when blended out turns into like an ashy dark blue, but concentrated, it maintains its vibrance so it's a really interesting and multipurpose shadow! :)

I also found a great teal eyeshadow look from TiffanyD, but I don't have any pastel teal colours.. couldn't imagine myself wearing it but I'm a bit curious now! :P

How do you wear bright eyeshadows? :)

<3yu

FOTD: MAC's Vegas Volt

I've always loved and looked better in peaches, corals and oranges, but somehow out of fear of having a dupe, I've always found myself buying more pinks and berries - how ridiculous! Realizing how little I actually have of these gorgeous shades, I've been expanding in my blushers and lip products towards peaches and corals.

One such item is MAC's Vegas Volt, that I picked up in Manchester last week. I've been looking for a bright coral, and had Sleek Papaya Punch in mind for weeks, until I gave up searching for it. I'm almost glad I did because Vegas Volt is GORGEOUS.

*Apologies in advance for the crappy pictures - poor natural lighting makes my camera disfunctional..*

An amplified finish, Vegas Volt is extremely creamy and pigmented. I'd say it's a bright coral, that on my skintone, is bordering on red.

This is a great summer shade, and looks amazing with neutral eyeshadow and lots and lots of mascara. This is what I'm wearing today:

Face:
Nivea Ideal Finish Foundation in 04 Sand
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC35
Rimmel Sunshimmer Bronzer in Medium Matte
Nivea Stay Real Blush in Shades of Rose

Eyes:
MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque
ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner in Coffee
MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara
UNE SkinGlow Pencil in G04
Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel 002

Lips:
MAC Lipstick in Vegas Volt

MAC Viva Glam Cyndi Lipglass, Jemma Kidd Hi-Shine Silk Touch Lipgloss in 15 Coral, MAC Vegas Volt, MAC Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick.

Like I said, I don't have many peaches and corals, but I thought I'd pop in some swatches comparing some products I thought were similar, just in case some readers had these products and wanted to see what it was like :) I'm a NC35-37 atm in MAC shades :)

What's your favourite coral/peach lipstick for the summer? :)

<3yu

P.S. I've got a clearout blogsale going on Flickr here, if you're interested :) Please comment, tweet or email me if you are!

FOTD: TiffanyD's Summer Yellow Look

MakeUpbyTiffanyD is probably one of the first beauty channels that I watched, and is not only my favourite ever channel, but also the inspiration on why I started my own channel. I've learnt so many techniques and tips from her, but her tutorials are something I love to watch and then never do - mostly because she has such a different eye-shape, and she does a lot of bright looks.

But yesterday I watched her "Summer Yellow Tutorial" and I really really liked it - so I decided to give it a shot :) Here's how it turned out..

Pretty alright for the first go I think! :P And here's what I used:

Storm Sunset Palette (yellow)
ELF Brightening Eye Quad in Drama (white and dark grey)

CANMAKE Shading Powder 02
MAC Blush in Style

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight 700

What do you guys think? Did I pull it off? :P

Who are your favourite YouTube gurus? :)

I've Recently Been Wearing..

I looked through my posts last night and realized that I haven't been posting much about make-up - what's all that about? So I decided to show you guys a look I've been loving loving loving recently! :) My photos aren't great, but I'll do my best to describe!

On my eyes..

All over the lid, I've been wanting something skin-tone but shimmery to keep it quite nude but still polished (MAC Honesty). In the crease, I went for something not too dark to keep it natural, but something warm enough to complement the glow of the face (MAC Woodwinked). I topped it off with a satin highlight :) (Maybelline Chai Latte Quad 'Brow' Colour)

On my face & lips..

The whole point of this look is to be sunkissed, so I used a blusher/bronzer product (MAC MSF in So Ceylon), and dusted it along my cheeks so that I have enough colour to look healthy but nothing too pink/peach, and used a matte bronzer to do a very undefined 3 along the side of my face for a natural effect (CANMAKE Shading Powder).

For my lips I chose a warm nude-ish MLBB colour (MAC Warm Me Up) :)

And put together, it looks-a-summin' summin' like this:

Very neutral, fresh and bronzed :)

These days I literally just tightline with a pencil liner (Rimmel Soft Kohl Liner in Black) and coat my lashes with a lengthening mascara (CANMAKE Gokubuto mascara) and a volumizing mascara (Maxfactor False Lash Effect). And as my project eyebrow progresses, my eyebrows are needing less and less help, but I still use something to fill in the gaps and shape where my brows haven't grown out yet (Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel).

What 'look' have you been loving recently? :)

FOTD: 04.27.11 - GSpot Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Lustrus

I knowwwww, what a provocative name for a company! ;P Is it more scandalous than the infamous NARS blushes? Maybe, maybe not - it's short for GlamSpot, as I learnt later on. But let me tell you, I am much more content searching 'NARS Orgasm' on Google than I was 'GSpot'.. Word of advice, use 'Gspot Cosmetics'.. yeah.

Anyway. FOTD using this lipstick and my new ELF Studio blush in Berry Merry - both of which I acquired in a recent swap using MakeUp Alley:

Products Used:
Eyes - 28 Neutral Palette
Cheeks - ELF Studio Blush in Berry Merry
Lipstick - GSpot Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Lustrus
Gloss - Maybelline MNY Lipgloss

I'm actually really impressed with the lipstick - it's completely matte, extremely pigmented and incredibly long-lasting. At £9.50 a pop, it's a bit cheaper than MAC but I have a feeling in terms of quality, it's pretty high up there. It smells like raspberry too.. Or is it a residue of my lindzer biscuit from Costa? Lol, we will see, as I'm tempted to try out some more, especially from their Gloss Lipstick line. The packaging is also very nice, it's a matte plastic which is kinda rubbery but not as much as the NARS packaging. Also has the imprint of the brand logo:

Heh.
As for the blush - it's a good colour, and I like that it's relatively sheer so you don't have to concentrate so hard on what you are doing. This along with the packaging is my favourite part about ELF blushes!

Have any of you tried GSpot Cosmetics?

<3yu

FOTD: 04.05.11 - NARS Taiga, I Made It Work! :)

I know I JUST did a post on this duo yesterday (which you can find here), but after writing that, I was determined to make it work. And this is what I came up with:

Products Used:
- Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer
- NARS Taiga Eyeshadow
- Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel
- Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in Black
- Maybelline Falsies Mascara in Black

- ELF Studio Blush in Tickled Pink
- Rimmel Sunshimmer Bronzer in Medium Matte
- ELF Complexion Perfection Powder

- MAC Creme Cup

It seems kind of obvious now that I think about it, but I started off by putting the darker colour of the duo all over the lid, then patting the lighter colour lightly on top in the inner 2/3 of the lid - it now makes sense and works perfectly that the colours are relatively sheer!

I then applied another layer of the darker colour in the crease to darken it, and blended it out towards the socket. Then I used the lighter colour to highlight my brow bone. This helped the flatness that I experienced when I didn't mix the two colours and used the lighter colour for both the highlight and the all over lid colour.

Although the picture doesn't do justice to the colours (and it's a lot darker in real life), I still would maintain that the colours lose their warmth on my skin. There is no hint of the yellow in either colours when I apply them - it looks more of like an off-white and a dark forest green grey on me.

Here's the 2 colours if you forgot what they look like :)

I think if I had the choice of using a colour outside of this quad, I'd use something like MAC's Mulch for the outer corner and something like a matte beige to blend out the green. I think this would bring back some warmth in the look. Will continue to experiment :)
So the duo wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, but I really like it. I can see myself wearing this a lot more in the autumn and the winter, and on nights out as well :)

Eureka Perfect Nude Eyeshadow!

Ever since like, forever, I've been looking for an eyeshadow that was similar to my skintone, just a little bit cooler and shimmery. And I think I've found it!

I've been wearing this look every day since I've gotten this eyeshadow. Here I've used:

Face:

MUJI Concealer in Ochre
ELF Complexion Perfection Powder
MAC MSF in Light Flush

Rimmel Sunshimmer Bronzer in Medium Matte

Eyes:

Personal Update:
This is how much I've been enjoying working on my disso.. Photo courtesy of boyfriend, lol.

FOTD: 03.09.11 - MAC Viva Glam Cyndi

Before it was gone forever, I decided to snatch up the MAC Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick, since I loved the lipglass so much and have been thinking about this lipstick since. My rule of thumb - you KNOW you need to get something when you think about it for more than 2 weeks! :)

I just got this yesterday in the post, but I wanted to share it with you in case you are on the fence about getting it as well - it's still available on Debenhams and MAC websites :)

It's a Lustre finish, it's quite sheer but buildable, and it's also quite moisturizing. The colour is almost like a pinkish red which is very different from the lipglass, which was more like a milky red (see post here).

I am in love with MAC lipsticks in general so there's no doubt about how much I love the packaging, the vanilla smell and also the great cause that the proceeds of this lipstick goes to - the MAC Aids Fund.

And here is my face of the day :)

Not feeling very photogenic today, but I hope you like :)

Have any of you bought this? Or were you more of a Gaga girl for '10? :)

<3yu

FOTD: 02.23.11 - Bright Pink Lips!

After the trip to London, I've had a specific bright pink lipstick from MAC that I want so badly, but due to my Project Pan, I have to wait til March. But when I came home I realised I already had a lighter bright pink - NYX Paris that I got from Mandy, so I decided to sport that yesterday, alongside my newest MAC e/s from Sinead at DitzyMakeUp.

Face:
- Revlon Colorstay in Sand Beige
- ELF Compexion Perfection Powder
- MUJI Concealer in Ochre
- MAC Style

Eyes:
- Benefit Stay Don't Stray
- MAC Woodwinked e/s
- MAC Mulch e/s
- Maybelline Quad in Chai Latte's lightest colour
- Maybelline Falsies Mascara
- Rimmel Soft Khol Eyeliner in Black
- Rimmel Prof. Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel

Lips:
- NYX Round Lipstick in Paris

I think this urge for bright lips is my mind's subconscious way of saying,
"Where the frick is Spring?"

Have you been changing stuff up to prepare for the warmth? :)

<3yu

FOTD: 01.12.10 - MAC Patina

Recently I got all the MAC orders that I made during December (minus a lipstick I bought from a blogsale), and one of them was the eyeshadow Patina. It was the first colour that I bought out of reputation rather than the actual colour, and I was a little afraid. Now, I'm just intrigued. It's such a strange colour!

Anyway, here is the look I did today:

All over lid - Patina; Outer corner - Tempting

The picture doesn't do it justice, but it's like a gold-ish grey-ish beige-ish colour.. it's so strange! I know I will probably end up loving it, as it is the most similar to my lid colour and makes for a great all over lid colour.. but it's just so strange! Anyway, I want to do a proper post on it one day after I use it quite a bit so until then, here is my FOTD :)

Face:
- Revlon ColourStay in 04 Sand Beige

Hi everyone,

So since I've been with my family, I've been sticking to the very basic, no make-up look. This is also to use up some of the eyeshadows in my 28 Neutral Palette.. I wasn't very good at smiling today (lol how sad!), so apologies for the emo look.

Thank Aoife for that! :P)

FOTD: 11.22.10 - GOSH Golden Moss Eyeliner

I am so excited that so many people are following my blog.. Thank you so much, I'm having a blast blogging! :)

Anyway, I didn't REALLY know what to review and I haven't hauled, plus I quite like doing reviews on videos.. So I thought I'd do another FOTD, but then follow it up with a tutorial in the next week or so.. because a lot of people have difficulties in wearing coloured liners - which is what I tried out today! :)

This is the coloured liner I used today - GOSH's Velvet Touch Waterproof Eyeliner in Golden Moss. Bought after suggestion by aforementioned "not so friend" Lisa :) As far as I can tell, it's quite long-lasting for a pencil liner, it's very soft and great pigmentation. However, I do remember swatching some other colours and not finding them as creamy or pigmented.. anyway! On to the FOTD:

I really like the subtlety of the mossy green, and the earthyness that it brings to the look. That being said, it isn't completely noticeable unless you zoom as seen above.. but you can notice the lack of definition of a black liner. The lipstick colour NEVER shows perfectly with flash - it's a bit more fuschia and darker than the zoom picture (Sorry :( ).

The other items used are as follows:
Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette
ELF Lipstick in Seductive
ELF Super Glossy Lipshine in Juiced Berry
MAC Blush in Style (haha yes, it needs some de-powdering..)
And of course the mascara, black liner blah blah blah.

I hope you guys like it! :) I think if the tutorial idea goes through, I will be using a liquid liner - specifically, the MAC Liquidlast in ElectroLady - an 18th birthday present from dearest friends, Abbey, Anna and Lindsay.
