Raspberry-Orange Cooler

When I was growing up, my mom's philosophy on entertaining was like The Little Black Dress - Simple, Classic and Versatile.  She mastered a few delicious, yet easy recipes,  kept her pantry and freezer stocked, and seemed to always be prepared for whomever walked through our door.  Take this Raspberry-Orange Cooler, for example.

It uses but two ingredients - orange juice concentrate and frozen berries.
It couldn't be easier to make.

Start by emptying one small (6 ounce) can of frozen orange juice concentrate into a blender.

Add one package of frozen raspberries or strawberries (with syrup).

Fill the empty orange juice concentrate container with ice and then top off with water.
Do this three times.  Turn on the blender and puree until smooth.

Slice some oranges for garnish, serve and sip.  Feel your body begin to cool from the summer heat.

My mom has served this delightful not-too-sweet, not-too-tart drink to country pastors and big city attorneys.
Each guest left feeling equally refreshed.

Enjoy!
